A fantastic mature-age acquisition for the Bulldogs.
Adams is super strong, has a thumping kick, can sprint sharply and takes a powerful overhead mark. He's played his best football as a key defender but is highly capable as a forward.
I'm pleased for him realising his ambitions to get a chance at AFL football but am also sad that my WAFL team, West Perth, has lost him

• Volunteered to receive a strike under the AFL’s Illicit Drug Policy (IDP).
• Forfeited his club marketing contract of $50,000 in 2016 and had agreed to further substantial variations of his playing contract.
Accepted a two-game AFL imposed home-and-away ban to start the season (with a four game suspended sentence for any further conduct unbecoming). He is permitted to play in the NAB Challenge and VFL.
• Opted to commence training with St Kilda’s 1st-4th year players starting Monday, November 9 - two weeks ahead of his scheduled start date.
• Agreed to engage with a leading Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Program to understand the implications of glamorising drug use.

Gotta laugh at the four game suspended. If he does it again I'd think he will have bigger problems than 4 games suspended.

I remember standing his old man. He kicked 12 on me in a losing side strongest bloke I've ever stood.
Yep same here. I stood the old man and he was a gun and a gentleman. Josh was only a baby but him and his family went into Walkies and had dinner and drinks. He was a fantastic fella. I wish Josh all the best.
For the record Carey he didn't kick 12 on me

Disappointed the Crows went for him when there were so many talls they could have taken. Have three others very similar; Betts, Menzel and Cameron
I think Charlie Cameron's final game last year may have done his future a lot of damage. I too am shocked by this selection. I watched him play a few times last year for Dogs and State 18s and not sure he is what the Crows need. There certainly is not room for the four of them in the forward line.
Perhaps the Crows are following on from the highly successful Carlton game plan of 3 small indigenous forwards.

I was a little annoyed by this pick. I thought another key position player would of been best for us.

Mason Redmen is a gun has the most important thing for modern footy a penetrating effective kick. Plays tall (good overhead) and small and he has arguably what Essendon need most after the last few years - people of good character.
Plenty of upside for you as he is still developing physically
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
He wouldn't be the only one in the swans change room with this view....
You spoken to them?
Come on wubby, you honestly don't think everyone at Sydney agrees with & supports his views/actions? There'd be some players, coaches & support staff that deep down think he's a flog.

Cheers for that, was thinking more left field due to not much being mentioned of him before the draft by anyone. Woosha and Dodoro spoke very highly of him and said they had glowing reports on him from everyone he has been involved with. What position do you see him slotting in to?

Have you? Of course he's going to have people within the organisation that don't agree with his views and actions. With 40 odd players, probably double that off field on a day to day basis someone, somewhere, will agree with the kid.

Maybe, maybe not but he is probably the only one to put it out there. Will be interesting to see how they handle it especially as the Swans CEO labelled anyone who boos Goodes as a "racist and a cretin"

He can play rebound HB (fourth defender) or High half forward (lead up) or outside mid. Is really versatile as he can play in that middle two/thirds of the ground. Will really add to your transition from defence to attack.
Needs to mature physically but is an outstanding young man who was a bit of a favourite of mine at the Bays last year. Comes from a ripper family.
