and both sides would have had 8-10 first pick players 'missing'

Oih! Any chance you can both stay in your own paddock and maybe do some brushing up on your goal kicking?
No team ever wins by 1 goal 11 behinds, TT was so distraught he couldn't even convert it to 2 goals 5 behinds or 17 points.
In his fragile state, he may not see the season out!!!
PS TT, I think I'm nearly back!

I was too busy running around trying to get that stupid bloody logo of yours to function.
Any chance we can make it an "agenda item" for next years AGM to get something decent?
It reminds me of TT in his younger days when he couldn't get a kick, or borrow his brother's razor!

Uni beat Broadview on a kick after the siren. Good hit out, Uni have picked up some big lumps of lads, big strong side.
Broadview kicked 3-8 to 0-0 in the 1st, could've iced the game if they kicked straight

Re: SAAFL Div 1 & 1R (2010)
Interesting in the Gepps v/s Salis North trial how one umpire again showed he wants to be noticed by everyone by brandishing the "yellow card" from the top pocket.
Whilst not condoning any backchat or otherwise toward the orange machines, surely in a trial game, a quiet word in the offender's ear gets much more respect and understanding than "The March of the Siamese Twins" to the boundary line with the yellow plastic being waved to the crowd not unlike a clown in the Xmas Pageant.
FGS, you're only a small part of the game, not all of it, so stop trying to impose yourself on all and sundry.
Thank Chr*$t you're not a policeman, everyone would be locked up if you had your way.
Footnote, maybe footy umps could take a leaf out of the same book as soccer & rugby refs, take the offender to one side for a quiet chat and do it as a colleague or peer, not as a schoolteacher or cop.

He over umpired the Seaton V Pembroke game last week aswell.
Your right the game ain't about umpires, put the whistle away & let the game flow, we know your out there, you stand out enough in your orangatang poxy shirts!
Improving the standard of our great game starts with consistancy from the umpires incharge.

i reckon there are 2 umpires atm that believe they are bigger and more important than wat they are.. Understand your role, ppl dont roll up to see an umpiring display. ppl commend an umpire when they arent noticed at all. Your not on TV and in the Afl. Amazing how an umpire changes when they get a couple of Div 1 GF gigs, even walk around before the game with the swagger of a rock star! give it a break.
Ace, was a fair spray number12 was giving yest tho..

Winger, it may well have been a huge spray but............... take him aside, let him know that the sprays won't be tolerated and it's unnecessary and tell him to just play footy.
All that needs to be done in the first instance, if it happens again, sure, have a 10 minute spell to think about your wrongdoing but FGS, it was a trial and this particular umpire now believes he is bigger than 'Ben Hur'

Im hearing you. last week one of our midfielders were penalised with a 25mtr for mumbling FFS under his breath. normally the guys coming back from SANFL find out the hard way cos u can get away with more at that level. Some Umpires do like to make examples of players, even in a trial match. i guess if we can take anything from it is that we are in for another yr of crap "mediating" from some individuals.

Now where would they get this attitiude of being a schoolteacher or cop?
How much does Oates and crew cost anyway?

Broadies had about 8 out that you would think would walk into round 1. Uni played some real decent footy, Walsh had the ball on a string, didnt really see him miss a target, you are right shirtfront Uni have some big lads but some pace to go with it. No panic in the Broadies camp after that, was a great hit out for both sides

Ace, did not see the game ,but the "ump" in question would not have hair coloured a lighter colour than his shirt, would he?
if so , this bloke is just finding his form from last year
i.e. i'm the ump . i'm the game . people came to see me
deadset tosser

Moz, funny about that, you've picked him in one, well done! Is it that obvious?

Henley got over the top of TTG out there by about 8 goals. A number of first choice players returned and played well

Lads, if you're talking about the 2 brand new ones from the "loan set" used in the trial v/s PNU, I have no idea. Do you?
Mate, if things are not "nailed down" you need to have someone on 24/7 patrol 'cause some pr*ck will find a way to knock them off!
Great really isn't it, you get to borrow them and 2 disappear but noone knows where they've gone except the thief.
We're going to revisit the security video from the changerooms to see if that unearths anything.
