North and Norwood will be big improvers.
Central will remain a big threat as per usual.
Eagles, Port will be similar to last year ,Sturt and Glenelg will struggle.
West and South will both improve significantly, whether that transforms into more premiership points is debatable. :?

Tigers to be OK

Lost the 2 Key defenders - Sherwood and Rudolph, but have picked up Wayde Mills from Brisbane Lions (196cm) and have Button and Liebelt - 2 youngsters ready to take up the challenge in '09 - that sort of covers the loss of the big 2. Not quite but adequate and time to give the Tiger Cubs a go.

Bode retired - Danny Meyer in from Richmond - covers the small forward and onballer plus a player hungry to do well to make an impact to get picked up off the rookie list.

We will be ok but not better then last year and thats what we need to be, we finished second not first. We need to find another one or two quality recruits to have a chance of knocking off centrals imho.

I don't think he'd have any choice. If he didn't want to play for Glenelg, it would be up to his AFL club to decide if he played elsewhere and who it would be for.. I'd be very confident he'll be at the Bays.

Well I'm expecting Port Adelaide to be much more than competitive next year. 2008 was a big step forward with player development, and we were basically beaten in the elimination final by 1 uncontrollable player in Taylor Walker.

With Hargreaves being the only major out, the squad is only going forward. I'm excited by a forward line of Clive, Jordan Barham, Joel Fitzgerald and Dean Mercer. Isaac Weetra will add much needed pace through the midfield and Matthew Lobbe as a ruck/ forward option, working in tandem with a very fit James Miekeljohn will be a dangerous combination.

Yep, it's Port Adelaide for Premiers in 2009!!

I wouldn't expect Fitzgerald to have a major impact at league level...
