what has fuller done wrong to be sacked?

He has terrible table manners! Saw him at Scuzzi on Rundle Street a few months back, with his wife & little fluffy doggy which he had sitting next to him on one of the bloody chairs! SACK HIM!!

1. Should have gone @ end of '06 as HE HIMSELF said he would - as a result, Sturt have got McGowan

2. Club going backwards since then - RECRUITING has been hopeless

3. He's been there too long & my mail is he 'has lost the players'

4. Haven't beaten North for 7 matches, 2 years - struggled to beat Centrals over a decade - clearly inept tactically when it comes to 'Plan B'

Look, I have said it PLENTY of times, his strength as a coach is recognising young tallent & promoting/bringing on juniors... as a Senior Coach he has some flaws... IMHO the club needs 'new blood'

Not quite correct....
Should read...
1. After Norwood appointed Trevor Hill as coach at beginning of 2006, Should have gone @ end of '06 as HE HIMSELF said he would - as a result, Sturt have got McGowan 8)

As much as I agree with you LEH .He still has a year left and of course the Board would not fire him .
I also question his alleged disliking of Andrew Rodgers .
sounds like sour grapes if it is true .

Does this whinging of a coach normally happen when a team doesnt make the finals after being in there for a few years? Yes he is good at finding some young talent, maybe he would be best then to coach the new U/18 team but he wouldnt do that either though.

In 06 Fuller had Macgowan & Norman backing him up , so we can assume from Sturts last 2 years that they were pushing Ron to excell in training , match day attitude of the players & tactics . Also , our real depth re players has dropped off ( not the kids ) . Conclusion .....No depth in the box plus not enough on the field = slide down the ladder ! Not rocket science after all , gentlemen !

i was just saying that this is the first time for a while that the Eagles havent made the finals and they are blaming the coach. Maybe the players need to be a bit more accountable.

I'm not blaming the coach, I stand behind whoever the coach is at the time.

I seem to hark back to Sturt fans having problems with sticks Philips.
And it took 14 goes to beat the Eagles .

Perhaps if you attended every Eagles game you would understand what the guys are saying.
If you were at the thebie(WWT V STURT) match you would have seen everything fall in place .Then the next game at woodville against sturt everything fell in to a very large hole .
Coach needs to take some blame
Players need to take some balme
Selectors need to take some blame
Recruiters need to take some blame(2 recruits last 4weeks then go home)
Need I go on .

The biggest shock I had was sitting in the G/S at Alberton and hearing what was coming out of the Eagles coaches box .Not a nice thing for a member to hear let alone ladies .
This was in contrast to what I was listening to coming off the bench at the last home game at thebie .

To quote the ALP its time .
