Geez our forward line looks like it's going to take some stopping - Salter, Twomey, Grocke, Passador, Schwarze add a crumber like Jacky into the mix and we have the potency around the contested mark and the crumbers as well. Our defence does worry me though with the retirement of Pedler doesn't help. If our midfielders are firing and we get first use of ball I think we can win because with enough chances we can definately kick a winning score. EAGLES just 1-2 goals. It would be nice to extract some revenge against those cocks they've been our nemesis of more recent times.

"C'MON EAGLES" - "DESTINED TO BE GREAT IN 2008" :) :) :)

I hope for your sake that this drought continues if they are all in the forward line at one time. If the ball hits the ground in wet weather with all of them up forward Jacky will be doing alot of work all by himself. There is no way you could all of them in the one side and playing up forward, that way to top heavy good luck though if thats your go.

We're obviously not going to play all in the forward line at the same time. We have a lot of options is what I was getting at. I used Jacky as an example of a potent crumbing type forward again we have other options. I certainly believe we are going to be a better side than most would think we will.

Still debating this one myself as I have a season ticket membership with both the Crows and Eagles. At this stage I'm leaning towards the game at Prospect. Should be a crackerjack game and it would be good to see the eags extract some revenge from last years finals campaign.

That will almost be as interesting at the game itself which promises to be a cracker. I am looking forward to this game, always great to watch North in action for the first time for the year.. and at our home ground is even better. I just hope I get my beer in a can! I love beer out of a keg but plastic cups are rubbish, if they are cups then hopefully they just tip the can into the cup and not give us mini-cups like at Adelaide Oval.

That's a fair call, if we switch to cups what will happen to the oldies battling over each can! Not only will it put them out of a job, but it will rob us of some light entertainment too!!

For all those Rooster fans who like to make fun of the Eagles supporter numbers, you should first consider these figures.

They show that if the 2007 trends in Home Game attendances and Memberships continue for 2008 then in both categories the Eagles will OVERTAKE North Adelaide.

Avg Home Game Attendances
Year Eag NA
2005 2332 3218
2006 2423 3193
2007 2473 (+2%) 2768 (-13%)

If 2007 trend is repeated in 2008

2008 2522 (+2%) 2399 (-13%)

Ie Eagles would get more to its home games than North.

I not saying that this is what WILL happen.

However the Home Match crowds show two straight years with North on the decline and two straight where the Eagles have increased.

Eagles have had five straight seasons of steady Membership Increases (take a bow CD), the closest thing to a line on the Membership graph there is.

My point is
It's getting close enough where the Eagles COULD pass North this year in both Membership & Home Match Crowds.
