A couple of tight finishes brewing tomorrow

Adelaide 7/123 chasing West Torrens' 141. West Torrens lose and they got down.

Sturt 6/108 chasing TTG 123. If TTG win then WT can't catch them, even with a victory.

Assuming no reverse outrights

Port and Kens winners already so top four is settled

If Adelaide and Sturt get the runs, highly likely, then WT need to win outright and hope TTG don’t, then have better run rate. Odds against it happening but Is still a possibility

Not sure how true, but heard Noah McFaddyen apparently a slash player for tomorrow for Adelaide. Flying back from Brisbane

Slashed for Josh Barnes who is currently 0* overnight.
Handy swap for Adelaide needing 20 runs to win

Game over if so. Also no chance of reverse outright either. He is a gun, certain to win Bradman Medal again but on his lonesome this time.

Cometh the moment, cometh the man. Take a bow James Reuther!!!
Adelaide 8/139 chasing 141, 10/139 2 balls later.
Eagles 99% safe from relegation, Adelaide chasing outright points now for table position.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

The ladder at lunch on final day of the season:

STURT 130 1.15
ADELAIDE 130 1.14
KENSINGTON 120 1.35
PORT ADELAIDE 120 1.17
EAST TORRENS 95 0.87
WEST TORRENS 85 0.94
TEA TREE GULLY 75 0.85
WOODVILLE 25 0.58

TTG 123 & 5/90* vs ST 8/126 dec (TTG need a miracle to avoid relegation, Sturt need outright to secure top spot)
WT 141 & 1/52* vs ADL 139 (WT can't afford to collapse and lose too much quotient, Adelaide need an outright for a chance at top spot)
PA 6/201 dec vs ET 135 & 1/44 (Port need an outright for a chance to finish 2nd)
WDV 157 & 7/108 vs KENS 2/160 dec (Kensington need an outright for a chance to finish top, or top 2)

A thrilling final day to the season.

Kensington claim top spot with an outright win over wooden spooner Woodville.

West Torrens avoid relegation with the game at Henley called off early, leaving it impossible for TTG to chase down the quotient, even if they bowl Sturt out from here.

Port and East Torrens also called stumps early, finishing 4th and 5th respectively.

Only possible change in the ladder is between Sturt and Adelaide, which will determine 2nd and 3rd. It will come down to quotient.

Adelaide are on 130 points and 1.099 Quotient
Sturt, at 5/106, are on 130 points and 1.097 Quotient

If Sturt can remain 5 down, 111 is the magic number to give them 2nd spot.

Looks like WT avoid relegation by 0.04 on the quotient ladder over TTG, just shows how important every wicket and run is, especially when games get called off early. WT lost only four games for the entire season over all three comps, so think it is fair enough they stay up. Hopefully they learn some things from this season about how they are structuring their team and never let this possibility happen again!
