If it’s Crows v Kangaroos on 30/3 that is the issue, why not reverse the fixture with the second meeting of these teams on 22/8?

The real disgrace in all of this is Cricket Australia.

They relegated Shield Cricket to still be playing when football takes over from cricket at many grounds including Adelaide Oval.

AFL footy fills the stadium and Shield cricket doesn’t
Pretty easy decision really

Even club cricket has weeks to go

I'd rather the match be played at Glenelg or Woodville than KRO. Not sure I'll be a starter for KRO. Just not too many vantage points.

Back in 2006/07 (when the side was nowhere near it), early season provisions were made on the back of Adelaide Oval being resurfaced after the international matches were done. They were going to host the one day final at Glenelg and the Shield final at Woodville. Just goes to show pre-planning should have always been done as a contingency now this has occured.

It was good at Glenelg in 2015/16, with plenty of room to move, but 3-4000 creating some atmosphere at a proper ground.

Dutchy wrote:What is has exposed is that there obviously has been no planning around what happens if SA do host it, you would think this wouldn't take much thought or energy with the SMA requesting a bigger window between AFL games so it could be done (i.e. oval is used for AFL on a Thursday night and then the following Sunday twilight or both teams play away for a weekend and then both play at home the next weekend.
I made that point earlier. You're 100% correct, there was no contingency plan at all.
Another DILLan leadership failure.
However Saca should've been all over this and lobbying a lot earlier.

Pretty unprofessional from both organizations. Very disappointing for the players from both teams.

Great comeback by the lad, has had a horrid run as many of us have pointed out on here and lucky to hold his spot, has rewarded the team and selectors by keeping faith in him, hopefully its not a match too soon ;)

The best time to be hitting your straps right before the final.
