We didn't chase Atkins, we chased Richards from Collingwood and Lukosius from the Suns and if we didn't agree to help GC with the Atkins salary dump the deal wouldn't go through.
Ratkins in your leadership group?

Just because you were lucky enough to be a role player in a premiership side, does not make you a leader.
I'd argue that could well be the epitome of great leadership.
Someone who is willing to sacrifice themselves to a role that doesn't receive the statistical rewards or the external accolades but is coveted within the four walls of a club that achieves the ultimate, does that not scream leader to you?
I agree. Great leadership in my book.He seems to always play well when Melbourne arent.

The two-time Club Champion and All-Australian midfielder will be joined by fellow Malcolm Blight Medallists Ben Keays and Reilly O’Brien, as well as Darcy Fogarty and Alex Neal-Bullen as vice captains in the five-man leadership group.
Seems a notable omission or two from last year.

ANB is an outstanding character and leader, no surprise here at all.

I'm sure Lachie Murphy was as well, still doesn't mean he's making the Crows any better
ANB plays half forward he is career above average for tackles and last year was rated elite in that category.
He was above AFL average last year for disposals, clearances and marks.
He is an elite runner (sub 10 min 3 km in his draft year) so can maintain pressure all game. He was a standard setter at Glenelg in his draft year (wasnt hard in 2014)
In the modern games his types are gold as they created forward 50 t/o and sloppy D50 oppo exits which increases midfield turnover opportunities.
Anyone who thinks ANB doesnt value add to the Crows in 2025 need to TAGHLY (nods to the Coodabeens)
Comes from a ripping family
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
