found unresponsive in a licensed premises evidently
That doesn't sound great. Hopefully he recovers ok.
Drink spiked no doubt
According to the article I read on the Advertiser app there are suggestions his drink was spiked.

Of course it was. I wonder if he had blood tests done. If he fails a drug test, then what happens?

Geelong released a statement saying he suffered a "health" issue and that they are monitoring him and his mental health state
Regardless of the circumstances lets hope he is alright

Nothing. The groundwork for a mental health justification has been laid, even though not required, and the AFL will continue to maladminister the situation.

True, but f#ck me. A health issue at 2:30am in a nightclub? Spare me.
He’s either drank too much (which not too many do) or taken too much…

Who was he with? Not Crouchy again?
On his own?
He's probably done too much of both.

The worst case of spin I've seen.

It irrationally pisses me off how the AFL and its club are using the mental health card so freely in cases where its clearly someone getting on the gas or gear to much.

What did Jack Oatey say to Rick Davies again? "A champion saddles up a Pony and heads home". Sound advice from the master which Stengle should be following. At least wait till Smiffy turns up before getting on the nose beers youngster! Uncle Eddie will not be amused.

Why would he have a drug test for a "health incident"?

Well if they're going down the drink spiking road they would've tested wouldn't they?

I’ve been getting my drinks spiked most weekends for the last 30 years. When I catch that prick……….. look out!

Unresponsive in a club/potential drink spiking victim one week. Ambulance to hospital serious condition. Trains lightly next day. Plays the next week? Yeah I dunno if that's a good look for the game?
