Understandable, I like going back, too, but it's never as good as the road to Adelaide

During school holidays, no thanks

Yours are old enough now aren’t they?

Last one in year 12 but he doesn't come on family holidays anymore anyway, unless its os and we are paying!

We always took the kids out of school to go on holidays, Gold Coast is the prime example, accommodation is half the price and the theme parks are empty, we used to check that no other states were on holidays also, one time we got there and it was full of kiwis, didnt check that

Got a boys trip to Melbourne early May and heading to the Cats v Port game Friday night. Getting into Melbourne at 9.30am and we're going to head to Geelong on the train for an arvo session before the game. I have only ever been straight to the oval off the train and never been to any pubs there. Are there any good pubs near the ground with a good beer garden and if so, how far from the ground?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Agreed, there's sweet FA in Geelong, some good pubs out of town down towards the coast but that's not going to help you much.
Have some more in Melbourne then catch a train at the last possible chance!
