Neil be Wagner announce s his immediate retirement and won’t play against the Aussies

Has been a quality player

Retired immediately after he was told by selectors he won't be selected for the first test against Australia.

260 test wickets from 64 matches at 27.57 with a strike rate of 52.7, only Richard Hadlee has a better strike rate among NZ bowlers who have taken more than 100 wickets.

Age catching up with him unfortunately. He was certainly a player that gave 100% when he was our there.

Devon Conway will miss the first test because of a thumb injury, NZ fan favourite (sarcasm) Henry Nicholls has been called into the NZ squad as cover.

seems to have been a regular occurence this summer, whether it be prior to lunch or tea
