A non- bazball session, modest run rate, no wickets - apparently boring but bloody effective!

Giuseppe Cazzo gets his ton.

See what you can achieve if you don’t bat like a Bazball moron? Well played.

There's 2 BIG reasons why Guiseppe Root made another 100
1. He is a champion batsman
2. India's greatest ever fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is not playing this test

Agree playing reverse sweeps when the bowler is Bumrah is crazy ...

England on top with India 3/112, after finishing up with 353.

The Indian batting actually looks light on to be honest. Patidar has given them very little at the moment.

I can see why India tried to keep Bashir out of the country. The kid can really bowl.

India 6/171.

India 7/219 at stumps, trail by 134.
This Ranchi pitch is making life hard for Foakes, it's a shocker but it plays into England's hands massively. Like the match that Australia won in Indore last year these shit-tips just level the game up for India's opposition even though their spinners are nowhere near the quality of especially Ashwin and Jadeja and also Kuldeep and Axar.
