But hey, what would I know?

One of my cars insurance rose around 25% last year yet the other about 2%, both with NRMA (who are shit btw, I’ve rang/chat lined/emailed them at least 15 times to try and access my policy online.

We have 3 cars insured with AAMI, all rose around 66%. I managed to get them down a little and did some online comparisons and found them to still be one of the best priced so stuck with them.

Home & Contents with NRMA (was SGIC) went up 45%
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

The SCG tour

A solid 90 mins of history and views of the great ground

Highlights view from the press box, and VIP area and going through both dressing rooms and the long room of the Members stand

May even have had nervous one where Tugga might have had one at tea before he went out and scored that ton in 2003…
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Yeah, up until covid hit it the US version was the benchmark. They had a couple of short sweet seasons to get through but personally I don't think they've got back to their best.

Also enjoy the South African & NZ versions. Don't think I've seen a UK one yet

Interesting...
I had two car policies and two property policies with SGIC, and they'd only gone up slightly with the property valuations with NRMA when I renewed a few months ago. More recently we sold my wife's Hyundai i30 and bought her a Kia Seltos AWD. I did uprgrade to the top level comprehensive cover for that one since is is a brand new car, but I'll probably prune it back a bit when it is older. Both car covers include my choice of repairer if any need arises.

Next year, when less busy now I've finally retired* recently, I'll review the options more thoroughly, because I have friends in Qld who were badly treated by NRMA.

*I turned 80 while in Cardiff back in October and decided it was time to quit working part time.
