With his 29 today Joe Root now has the most runs in India v England test matches (2555) going past Tendulkar's 2535.

This is the first test match since 2011 where India haven't had either Kohli, Pujara or Rahane in the team.

First ball of second over goes 10 rows back and follows up with another a couple of balls later. 0/19 in the second over

Jaiswal and Rohit playing Bazball. :)
0/63 from 9.
Hartley looks much more effective bowling to Rohit, served up some short shit to Jaiswal and he pumped him.

C’mon the umpires!
I always want India to lose because of their fans but I want England to lose more because of the Bazball bullshit, India 5-0.

Stumps at 4.43pm local time, only ate into 13 mins of the extra half an hour so no issue with over rates today.
India 1/119 from 23 overs.

Ashwin on 493 test wickets.

Really exciting days play. England looked ok when attacking and playing shots but once they went into there shells, the Indian spinners had them. Still they got to 246.

India looked comfortable out there. Rohits brain fade the only issue. Honestly, no idea what he was thinking, they have Jaiswal down the other end torching the crap that England were dishing up, Rohit just had to support him. Very poor in my opinion from there captain.

Bazball might not be getting thr results at the moment, but my word it's bloody entertaining.

Tom Hartley interesting debut with the ball
Opened the bowling having 2nd over for the innings
His first ball in test cricket went for 6
The first two scoring shots off his bowling were sixes

That would not have happened too often to a debutante bowler

And I think this is the key for test cricket moving forward, "Boring" days that last less than 90 overs, delays due to batsman needing drinks every five minutes, bad light called even though grounds are floodlight are not the way forward. Wake the fxxx up!!!! Otherwise, test cricket will die.
