The shock, the suspense...oh who will win the India Cup? The least "global" World Cup that I can recall. Even Windies 2007 did it better. A verstappen like procession with a surprisingly low number of close contests.

Cyclone due to hit Kolkata before our game and whole day could be washed out. Weather forecast has the reserve day even worse

That's the easiest way to break a hoodoo - not have to play at all. In reality it's India's to lose, and something like four out of the top seven best economical bowlers are theirs.

Correct me if I’m wrong, for the semis there is an extra 120 mins extra allocated for a result on the schedule day of the match, then a reserve day if required. A min of 20 overs each is required for a result.

If indeed it’s going piss down, then surely the only choice is to put the Saffers in first if we win the toss.

The reserve day is just that. Only used if the actual day is a complete washout. The game can’t be played across the two days

I don't think that is true, the 19 WC Semi between India and NZ was played across two days.

Agree, that’s what I thought, reserve day can be used to complete the match if required.

Not the World Cup and I could be wrong but I think it also happened recently in the Asia cup in the match between India and Pakistan in Colombo.

There was a reserve day for the 2007 World cup Final

According to ESPNCricinfo the pitch for tonight's game has been changed to a "used" one

Who'd a thunk it??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Rohit gone, good catch by Captain Smurf.
