Thoughts on Warner catch when he was on 73, reviewed and given not out?

Think this has gone too far, was a brilliant catch in my opinion, ball slightly touched ground after, but only recently they seem to be over turning these. Don't like it.

Smith had one after fairly similar but given out, correctly.

I reckon Marnus would’ve been one of those kids that tried to hit boundaries or just blocked the first 5 balks of each over and then nudged the 6th ball and called early for a quick single.

Would really love to see Maxy put on a show here.

Good call, he certainly did that.

The two sixes he hit to get to the ton I think I could have hit for six, full tosses on leg stump

Still some amazing hitting though.

Finish 8/399, might just be enough :D

Full tosses on leg stump because he reverse swept and then reverse hooked sixes just before! Imagine trying to bowl to that. Amazing hitting!

Now for Australia to get the team right. I think Head will come in. He and Marsh provide that potential at the start to put Australia in a position to either get 350+ or chase down 350+ if need be.

Can Marsh bowl? I think I would slot Head in to open with Warner and shift everyone down one. Drop Green and don't bring back Stoinis. That is provided Marsh can bowl. Then have Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Zampa for 10 and Maxwell, Marsh and Head to bowl the other 10 or a few more if need be. Actually, even if Marsh can't bowl, I'd be tempted to do that. I think it was Head's left hand he broke, so shouldn't effect his bowling.

Head
Warner
Marsh
Smith
Lab
Maxwell
Inglis
Stoinis
Starc
Hazelwood
Zampa
We wont be getting a good wicket against India whenever we play them in finals, it will be a raging turner, they will play 3 spinners so we may as well set up for that now. One quick has to miss out and we need extra batting depth.
Maxwell is bowling better than someone who contributes to a set of 10, we can count on him for 10. We can get 10 out of Head Marsh and Stoinis.

Head 100% plays but given how well Marsh has started the tournament i would be tempted to leave him at the top of the order and bat Head at 3 or 4.

If it isn't broke don't fix it type attitude. Albeit long term Head is the better opener but right now the Warner/Marsh partnership is probably the strongest element of the side.

Given Head will provide handy overs of spin he should come in for Green/Stoinis

Warner
Marsh
Head
Smith
Laubschagne
Maxwell
Inglis
Cummins
Starc
Zampa
Hazelwood

Labuschagne, Maxwell, Inglis to go in order pending game situation.

I don't think Australia can have Labuschagne in the side against someone like India.. he's just too slow, and his record isn't that great.

Marsh would benefit going into the middle I think - he's hit 189 this WC but 121 came in one knock, he's the power hitter we need in the middle along with Maxwell and Inglis so we can go full throttle for longer in the back end.

Who cares what bowlers we pick, select a side that can score 350+ or chase down 350+ and back it in.

Clearly touched the ground. Not out.

It has never been a catch if it touches the ground in the act.

Yeah Ithought it was an obvious one to adjudicate, much more so than Starc's in The Ashes

Baz doesn’t coach the white ball program, ex Aussie women’s coach Matt Mott is the man in charge.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
