Hately delisted, he will return if not picked up by another AFL club, as will Montgomery.
We need a big bloke though, such as Hayes, Teakle or Strachan

Both Dan and Troy are playing at Padthaway.

I will check but I think Troy will also coach.

From what I’ve seen you’d be welcome to him.

Most players delisted pretty much know the outcome well before the date and in Newchurch’s case he was a Cat B listed player and had done the maximum time allowed as a Cat B So would have needed to be upgraded to the main list. which was never going to happen.
I was told yesterday arvo that he was headed to the NT to play

Troy has approached the Dogs about possibly returning.
However, he is greatly influenced by his bro, so will be interesting to see how this transpires.

Troy has re-signed with the Eagles for 2024.
Played in the Reserves Prelim on Saturday so he's served his 2 game suspension from the last minor round game

Not sure that was necessarily the case...

I think his post was just more paying homage to his home SANFL club, but I could be wrong?

Would be an absolute shock if he came back to the Dogs.........

1. Is he even moving home.....he was quoted as saying he wants to 'spend more time in SA' but to me it indicated he would still live in WA. He's been there now for 18 years so longer than he lived in SA.

2. Even if he moved home would he really want to commit to 3 nights a week training and all the other SANFL commitments as a 'big name' player. He has won an SANFL flag but IIRC never won a flag with Angaston so that would have to be somewhat of lure. He would be able to earn just as much money, train 1 night a week or not at all if he wanted to and missing a few games here and there would be no big deal.

As good as Bunga has been at the age of 35, is it worth keeping a younger player out of the side for him to play

Charlie Constable retired from AFL, is a 191cm midfielder, think he'd be a great recruit for us if he wanted to come to the SANFL.
