Dedicated Port player who chose not to leave when the club wasn’t going well, deserves to go on his terms (I said the same about Sloane).

If he is only a bit player next season, so be it IMO.

Bit of me time for the plodder.

It's amazing you've drawn such a long bow while still sobbing.

Boak hasn't announced his retirement as your bloke did. What's his name again?

True, Chad announced it for him.
Dave Warner will be missed!

Been fantastic and 3 of his last 4 years have seen him play career best football.

Another year for mine, I don't think he really got over his rib issues this year and he has shown he's the ultimate professional when it comes to preparing himself for a new season. #TB350

Keep hearing commentary the last couple of weeks about Port's "under-manned defense". Who are they missing from their key defender stocks? They have the weakest draft hand of any side, and need to somehow swap future picks to land the players being spruiked as coming to Alberton. Could be chasing their tail for years

They finished fifth, I for one didn’t think they’d be top 10 so they had a pretty good season.

It's been a question mark over us for years, it's not a loss of personnel, it's the list. The decline of Jonas was unexpectedly rapid, Pasini did an ACL and hasn't come on as expected, Marshall is a first year draftee. Lists ebb and flow, every list has holes, ours is our back half talls.

Bezerk Thatcher isn't the key either but will add depth, in hindsight Howard is still hurting us.

Not sure why Finlayson hasn’t been tried down back.
I think he’d be a good CHB with Aliir next to him.

Howard is no loss mate, none at all.

Aliir, May, Taylor, McGovern, Lever, Andrews, the best defenders mark and intercept, Howard was a punch or nothing player who St Kilda didn't pick in the end.

The best defenders in the comp can’t do much when the mids get hammered like Port did last night. Port have a young quality midfield and they will learn plenty from last night. Rozee in particular had a poor one and some of his non chases and half arsed tackle attempts weren’t good.

What’s happened to Ollie? I don’t follow closely enough but assume his role has been adjusted to allow further development/responsibility for the next generation of midfield stars they have, but how they could have used that contested ever present bull version of him last night.

Did Aliir take a mark last night or just fumble everything that came his way?
The fact you mentioned Aliir in the same sentence as the rest tells us how deluded everyone at Alberton is

Bizarre but you have a bloke that won a Brownlow as a pure grunt midfielder and it seems he has been forced out on to the wing
