Port Adelaide has reportedly pulled out of the race to land Brodie Grundy, with Sydney now in pole position to land the Demons ruckman.

It comes after the Herald Sun reported the Sydney lifestyle and opportunities outside the game appealed more to the 29-year old comparison to Port’s football-orientated pitch.

That report stated that while the Power focused heavily on what Grundy could provide for them on field, the Swans leaned more on outside interests.

As for Port Adelaide, Morris revealed the club is keen to lure out-of-contract Bulldog Jordon Sweet, having tabled a three-year deal to the ruckman.

So a ruckman who cant get a game in a team that finished 9th
A defender who isnt seen as 1st choice in a team that finished 12th
Another defender in a team that finished 11th who "won" the reverse Coleman for conceding the most amount of goals.
is somehow going to make the Power a premiership contender? Turn it up, kidding themselves. They need to make Grundy an offer he cant refuse and go all in otherwise they are going to be a team thats good and win more than they lose but never seriously challenge for a flag.

Ive seen plenty of comments from Essendon fans pleading with Dodoro not to **** this trade up!

He'd be a pick 35-45 type player who would add some value to a pick in the same range.

For instance Zerk-Thatcher for 42 and Bonner.

Played 11 games this season, only one in the past 9 rounds and you think he’s worth a second round pick?

I doubt Essendon need a Bonner type player

No club needs a Bonner type player.

You'd think Jackson Mead will ask for a trade for whatever value that will be. might help with Essendon trade.

McAdam formerly asked for a trade to Demons.
