Any tips for the medal count tonight?

Trenorden from Hahndorf is my tip. Mctaggart from Lofty, May from Nairne, O’Brien from Onkas and of course the reigning medalist Sam Callins. I think should all poll well!

Yeah great for the comp for sure. Hahndorf would be coming out hard next time though so will be hard to beat twice if they win next week.

Watched it on the Call of the wild feed, was a good game. Hopefully these 2 play off in 2 weeks, don't think Hahndorf will let Nairne get that much of a start though

I’d imagine Hahndorf will make it. But the week of leading in to the GF is a big advantage in a season with no byes. Nairne dominated that game for 3 quarters and did well to restrict Hahndorf in the second when they had control of the game. The mail medalist was huge against 2 big ruckman.

Battle of the opposites today. Lofty smaller and move the ball very quickly off half back. URI bigger and more methodical. If Terlich gets off the leash uri win I think. He was very well held last week and I don’t think it’ll happen again.

Both Terlich and Amato got ahold of Lofty in a big win. They come in to Hahndorf full of confidence. Not sure I’d like to be playing Hahndorf after being touched up for the first time in a long time. Weather looking incredible for a big prelim!!!

What do we think about Saturday? Clearly best 2 teams all year, weather will be fantastic and I’m sure Lobey oval will be immaculate. Hahndorf didn’t look themselves last week against Uraidla, their midfield got a touch up. I noticed a few missing for them as well I’m Trenorden and Male??? On the other side Nairne have had an extra week off which they would be grateful for. If big Houra can grab ahold of the game, Hahndorf might struggle to keep them to a gettable score. I think it will be lower scoring than we expect with the weather, Hahndorf by 7 points.

Should be a cracking game!
Nairne will be fresh with the week off but it's always hard to tip against Hahndorf.

Should be an awesome day
Can’t help but feel this is nairnes to lose, I just don’t think you can be in a better position against the pies
Oval, weather should suit them nicely
Interestingly I’ve had a chat to a few young guys from around the hills and most are going for dorf? Thought that wouldn’t make sense and everyone would wanna see someone else win? Nairne not well liked?

That’s interesting… I would imagine it’s more the fact everyone wants to be the “next one” so would rather Hahndorf win than someone knock them off the mantle before they get an opportunity? Never heard a bad word on the club since they came up.

What clubs players did you hear that from?

The last 2 games Hahndorf have been in poor form. They rarely drop a quarter of footy and both Nairne and Uris did them over in a quarter or two. They dont appear to be settled.

The open space of Lobey I suspect will favour Hahndorf, but I just have a feeling that Nairne have winning momentum going into this game, they are well coached and Dale knows Hahndorf well, after losing to them when he was coaching Torrens Valley. Coach Golding from Hahndorf has his work cut out to show what he and his team are really made of - I think this game could be a turning point for Hahndorf, lose another grand final and who knows how their players and coach will react and decide where their future is next year?

I think its Nairne in a tight one, BUT the last time Hahndorf lost a 2nd semi was to Lobey and they came back in the Granny to win it!

Its great to see some real competition. Now we just need a few more teams to rise up to Nairne and Hahndorfs level and have a great even comp next year!

Looked the better team for the majority of the game, just couldn't convert their chances. Broke away to a 4 goal lead half way through the final term before Hahndorf finished with a bit of a flurry. Good crowd/atmosphere, the Rams certainly had a lot of support.

I was watching the Facebook livestream & Hahndorf started to look like blowing them away in the 2nd quarter. Then the stream cut out. Finally got onto the youtube stream in the last & Nairne were 4 goals up. Then Hahndorf got a couple & I thought game on, Nairne held their nerves for the win. Congratulations

Nairne definitely the better side as previously mentioned they just missed quite a few very easy shots to give themselves more breathing space. That Greenbank up forward looked dangerous every time he had the footy and Whimpress just seems to have more time than everyone else. Well done to the rams. They came up for the future of their club and it’s all come to fruition in 5 years. A massive achievement and with their age demographic I can’t see them dropping off any time soon.
