10yrs is probably a good time to upgrade. I know when looking at drivers I spent hours reading and watching reviews etc
I'm contemplating taking my baffler and hybrid in to a drummond to see whether a different shaft would work.

I am at 25+ years, well over due for an upgrade...

I've seen more and more 7woods being put out there as alternatives to a 3h

Anyone hit or have a 7w in the bag?

I have Driver then it fluctuates between the baffler which 4-5w at around 17-18 degrees, my auction $8 18 degree 5w and currently in the bag is a 25yr old 5w
I have a 19degree 4hybrid of which I've struggled to hit in recent times. But when it's on, it's a beautiful baby draw club.
To be fair I've struggled with all those for consistency. Particularly recently the 4h it just starts far too far out to the right before it eventually draws back, if it hasn't hit trees
That's where I'm thinking a shaft change to match up with my current slow swing speed

Popped into Drummo's this morning.

I like the look & feel of the Taylormade Sim 2.

Didn't have time to hit it though.

Will go back one weekend soon and hit a few and see which one comes up best.

So what is the Governors cup (looking at the tee sheet)? Have fun. Isn't in the best nick right now with the redevelopment but its still in the tier 1 clubs for a reason. Third's out and the 4th is playing as a really short par 4. The day has the 3rd out, 20th in. I have no idea what hole that is, it might be the chipping green they used for the Blitz events. The old half way hut rebuild starts that week too so it'll be chaos.

Just purchased my new driver, walked into Drummond wanting a Titanium and walked out with the Carbon  after a few hits on the simlulator, the biggest selling point was the forgiveness, only hit one bad one out of 6 shots and that still hit the fairway, hopefully that translates to the real stuff. Playing 9 at the vines tomorrow night.

Have you ever tried running the ball up on the 16th by aiming at the stobie and watching it roll around onto the green?? Or do you like playing golf shots?[emoji1787]

It's a tough green, but that's about the only shot I'm confident in out there

Just had a hit with the cobra forged tec and srixon zx mk ii

Cobra felt superior off the face
Cobra also held the line a lot better where the srixons just turned over too far
Can see how the srixons are popular but just not for my swing

Hopefully get em 6-P in a couple weeks

Now looking at either a shaft replacement for my baffler or perhaps a hybrid or 23° wood

Still had vouchers to use at Drummond and they got the Masters sale on.
Popped in there yesterday arvo.
Looking for something around 22-23°.
Ended up with a Tour Edge 23° 7 wood. The E524.
Tested outcome hybrids as well but the higher ball flight of 7 wood made it appealing, especially for someone who needs Viagra in the shaft to reduce the worm burners

gave the 7 wood a course test run this arvo over 9 holes
still had a few out the bottom of the club. couple out of the rough had a nice high ball flight. couple off the tee had nice trajectory. was also able to choke down and get low hookers and was also good from around the greens, the ball didnt ping off the face as they can do. looking forward to it performing under pressure
