They’re also replaying the Gold Coast Carlton game as well that week, an obvious and clear free kick was missed in the goal square late in the games. ;)

That maybe true but also is completely irrelevant to the unacceptable F**K up that occurred. Even if it didnt have an affect on the result of the match it's still an embarrassment to the AFL who have invested so much into score review technology but still don't have a workable process in place to call upon it when needed.
The fact that they conveniently review EVERY goal simply because there is a 30 second gap before play restarts BUT don't review behinds because it may hold the game up by denying the defensive team from immediately bringing the ball back into play is a completely half arsed process that will continue to deliver inconsistencies and stuff ups going forward and shows that keeping the game moving is more important than getting the right outcomes.

The goal umpire has been stood down.
Would have loved to have heard the phone conversation between him and Gil.

In other news his replacement Bubbles has checked in for training.

And in light of the crack down of ducking/leaning into a tackle to draw high contact, the 2017 elimination final too

Don't subscribe to this. Easy set shots are missed in every game of every round, it's part and parcel. Howler goal umpire decisions that aren't reviewed don’t happen......until now. Wasn't just the point call that cost them, it was the half a dozen players out of the contest celebrating allowing the Swans easy ball.

Last night we finally got some luck. Yep, we should've lost. You don't blow that lead and get away with it. Saying that. I can't believe that we've got to.the position we have. We play our best for 4 quarters, not 3 we can match it with anyone. We don't. We are screwed

Gil wouldn’t be talking to the goal umpire, the umpires boss would be the the middle man. I suspect that goal umpire won’t be doing any Crows games moving forward at Adelaide Oval. That’s if he ever umpires again at AFL level.

So now we will see umpires not backing themselves from now on

The umpire was wrong on several fronts and deserves to be dropped for the remainder of the season.
