Not a huge surprise that Matt Rose will finish up his SANFL career this season. Came across to South in 2014 after the demise of the Magpies. Injuries have obviously taken a toll in recent seasons, but was a very dependable player/leader for the club when fit. Have to respect anybody that commits 14 years to the SANFL in the current environment.

• 189 SANFL Games
• 139 South Adelaide Games
• 45 goals
• Captain 2020-2022
• Co-captain 2019
• Vice Captain 2016-2018
• Mark Rawlins Memorial Trophy, Runner-Up Best & Fairest 2015
• Best In Finals 2016
• Third Best & Fairest 2017
• SANFL State Team Selection 2018 & 2019
• SANFL State Team Vice-Captain 2019
• Frank Barry Medalist 2019

Jesse White calls time on his career at the Roosters
The North Adelaide Football Club must advise members that Jesse White will not be continuing for the remainder of the season.
Jesse’s work and family commitments require his full attention and that will mean his dream to play in another SANFL Premiership is over at North Adelaide.
“Jesse has worked hard to play a key role in our team in 2023, his leadership and experience has been invaluable for our younger players and we wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his service in 2023.” Senior Coach, Jacob Surjan.
Jesse played 10 League games as a Rooster, after making his North Adelaide debut in Round 1 of this season.
We would like to thank Jesse for his contribution to the Roosters and we wish him, his partner Jo and their children Evie and Florence all the very best for the future.

And he polled votes in the Jack Oatey Medal in the 2019 Grand Final. There was no doubt that Snook was b.o.g., but I thought that White was the next most influential player on the ground.

Interesting last round for the 5th spot all 3 teams
PA 17 ....96.33%
CD 16....88.98%
NA 16....88.47%

CD play PA only 1 of them can win
Which means all NA have to do is beat ST to make the finals , even if the CD V PA ends in a draw , NA make it
CD beating PA + NA beating ST = PA will miss out

A draw between NA and ST can still get NA into the finals
IF
PA beat CD by approx 10+ points ?

You never know .... the game is a dead rubber for Sturt but the Cocks are essentially playing a final.

All those elements point to an easy Sturt win.
