She's missing out now though as the missus organised a new bin through money for cans or similar and all my can/stubby/echo funds go to the North Adelaide Footy Club.
Expect them to be richer than AFL clubs in the near future!

I have separate wheelie bins lined with big bags for my cans and plastic bottles.

The lad cleaned his room and car out and I noticed at least 40 cans and bottles in my recycle bin, I said to him “I was I was as rich as you, you’re throwing away free money”, his response “free money? How much do you spend to get your $100 back from the depot?”

In fairness to him unless you are driving directly past the bottle depot you would need 1000 cans to make it worth the petrol.

I have one less than 5 minutes away, 1000 cans/bottles isn’t a great deal, 4 cartons of beer is almost 100.
I take a can of Kirks sugar free to work each day, he works on sites each day so probably goes through 3-4, I’ve been hooking into the beers lately plus whatever anyone else leaves behind, I’d collect $100 every few months, it’s not a great deal and it usually goes straight on the punt at the Reepham as I’m not used of having cash on me

Picking up the meat tray raffle at the pub tonight, and giving to one of the old boys (80+) who drinks on our table. Just hope he remembers to take it with him tonight.
