Yeah, getting gifted academy players every year, extra cap space, extra funding for players must be tough.
Dew has been on $500k a season for 6 years and can’t get them anywhere near finals with all the leg ups they get.
Pretty clear he can’t coach

Look at the GC history of any sporting team. It is not a city that is suited to guiding young, fit men to perform at the highest level...too many...ahem...distractions for them.

Zero issue with the cap space. But that doesn't attract players to a *shitty market.
Their academy is rubbish and, in its infancy, still.

Gold Coast franchises always fail.
I rate Dew as a coach. Maybe a little Bias as his involvement with the swans.

*shouldn't even got a team there

I'd struggle to name more than 3 current GC players. For whatever reason, they've never had decent cattle up there. If anything I think they're overachieving this year at 7 wins 9 losses.

And yet GWS came in around the same time and constantly performs well and even after losing players every year they still seem to rebuild on the run.
List management at the Suns has always been a problem though, perhaps if the AFL stopped appointing their cronies to the job they might do better.
They overpay for rejects or old hacks and then push their decent players out the door for a packet of chips and willingly do bizarre salary dumps. AFL controlled club is run poorly, who woulda thought hey

Of course she got it right.
The Suns are run by the AFL and she is their media mouthpiece. Her mail would have come straight from Gil.
Anything to do with the Suns I’d take her word as absolute gospel

She was spot on with him getting the sack. She's rarely wrong. I felt the scrutiny of continually bagging him was harsh.

But i get all your points. And agree somewhat. Just a Dew fan who i felt was on a hiding to nothing there.

I love how whenever someone blows anywhere even close to .4 on those RBT shows, the coppers seem genuinely impressed.
