Can't believe they'd play Woakes and Robinson ahead of Tongue from what he showed at Lords. They must be afraid Wood and Tongue together might leak too many runs, but they need to win and they have more chance of doing that with a bit of pace than three fast-medium bowlers. Robinson doesn't impress me much, looks like playing cricket is a chore when things are running against him.

Brook at 3, Bairstow 6 and Moeen 7 is a huge advantage for Australia IMO.

Wood & Tongue together.... an, ahem, handy combination.

Wood would cum on after tongue.
Just don't bring wood on prematurely

I think Wood pushes uphill, into the breeze. That allows Tongue to slide on in down the slope.

Like Lords there is a prominent slope at Headingly, not that slopes are popular in Yorkshire based on recent history....

Let's test the poms and their spirit of the game, when we're (hopefully) in a position that we can't lose, after they bowl a ball, take a walk down the pitch to do some gardening......

Off course they will take the wicket....every team does/would.

Thats it why it is the rules that need to uphold the mythical 'spirit of cricket'

One rule in particular that i think works against the spirit of cricket is the reviewing slip catches with the footage we currently have. Imo the 'spirit of cricket' includes honest and integrity and part of that was the batsmen asking the fielder whether he caught the ball or not. Now if the footage was 100% accurate every single time, then let's go with it but in the case of slip catches the angles are all wrong, the slomo and frames do it no justice and half the time we get a decision that seems to go against what the live vision shows.

I'm a traditionalist so i wouldn't have a problem if we removed all reviews and just accepted the umpires decisions, the good the bad the ugly. Run out decisions and no balls are probably the only ones that are 99.9% correct without any doubt whatsoever because of technology.

Pretty stunned we haven't brought foakes and pushed Brook to 3 and JB back to 5. JB has been awful with the gloves which already cost us the first test, when you compare him and Carey its just light and day.

I do wonder if there bringing in Woakes because stokes can't bowl with his knee playing up and still wanting 5 bowlers.

If the poms are still upset about #stumpinggate there's a big chance bazzball may see this match over in 3 days. 3-0

YCCC will be loving this, after losing approx $4 Mill (2.4 Mill Sterling) with the racism scandal last year.
