PA last 2 wins reminded me of the SANFL PA of the20th century
3-2 great result and a good start from a tough draw
BL win
CO lose
AC lose
SS win
WB win

JHF is an absolute gun a real boon for this club- his last qtrs the last 2 weeks a part of why PA have won both games.

was about to post that the crowd looks less now than the 1st game, weathers crap would have something to do with it surely
Most of the Essendon and Dees fans left after the first game and headed into town for dinner by the looks. A hell of a lot of Bombers fans out and about in the CBD

One would suspect it would be even worse today with the two hour gap between games (and a game at Norwood during that time).
I can't see too many Collingwood and St Kilda fans rocking up 4 hours before their game starts (or Geelong and West Coast fans staying 4 hours after theirs finishes.)
Weird planning.

Fans out n about investing in local business, it's not all about bums on seats. Could be worse though on the optics.....could have had it in the concrete jungle of Melbourne. You're right though, I reckon Coll v StK would draw 30k on it's own but they shoulda played Geel v WC at Almond Tree Flat.

Sure they can do a few things better and this was a learning curve but it’s been a resounding success and can only get better IMO

They're on the aisle too!

im not sure where I saw it, but i think Mali has announced that he will be helping upgrade communnity club facilities??

Havent gone to any matches, but its fair to say the Gather Round has been a success. It would be good if a game was taken out to the Barossa and even Riverland in future.

Love it how floggers on Facebook criticise crowds but don’t go to the footy themselves, I’ve lost a few associates today

It's the best thing to happen to this state for years. As others pointed out to me, the impact in the states economy is huge.
If the state govt pays the AFL enough to cover lost seat sales in Vic and we make 4 times that back in the local economy it's a win/win.
I'm not even shitty that Port and Adelaide get an extra home game!
The atmosphere at all the events and games I've been to has been first class. Even where I am atm there's equal amounts of West Coast, Geelong, Collingwood and Saints fans and everyone is getting along famously.
Was a similar atmosphere at Norwood on Friday in pubs with Freo and Suns fans.

PS I reserve the right to withdraw my opinion if West Coast beat Geelong today.
