I've said it before somewhere, but you'd think the AFL would invest in goal umpire cam with all the advancements in tech since the SANFL first saw it on the ABC in 2001.

I don’t see how that would help as modern goal umpiring doctrine seems to have given up on getting in line with the incoming ball, instead they look on from the opposite post.

What? And not have the Crypto.com score review to completely slow up the game and not hand the decision over to people who do not have the best position on the ground?

That's for contests on the line, if it's not in danger of being touched on the line they should be under the flight. I'm talking those such contests on the line - the camera on the post is most of the time further away from the contest than the goal umpire.

While this thread went lukewarm for this game, it turned cold once the purple team took over.
I like high scoring matches (that definition seems to be different now), but this game has enthralled me the most for some reason...great comeback by the Dockers.
