Haven’t been to many games this year however ventured out to Portland v Kenilworth today. What a belter of a game in front of a great crowd.

Well done to both sides on a high quality and intense contest.

Portland just keep getting the job done. Thomas is the difference most times. Some interesting results today and the season is really hotting up. Top 5 is on the line and relegation is anyone’s guess. The chase for finals and the fight for relegation will determine who finishes where. The comp is actually closer than the ladder reflects.

Pembroke wont be the last side to get jumped by Plympton on their home deck.. its a tough one to adapt to if you havent played it before (or for a while) and Plympton tend to play it very well.

Speaking of D4.. pop quiz.. whose the last person to coach Pulteney A grade to a win?

Bonus question: Whose the last person to coach Pulteney B grade to a win?

Double bonus question: Who played in the last Pulteney C grade win?

:P 8-}

Bish is a good guess.

Saw your U17.5's Friday night - some quick young kids in that team! Enjoyable game, scoreline probably not an accurate reflection of the contest.

Beat them last time , they had their Norwood kids back due to the bye I hear which strengthened them. I hear it was a good game

From what I’m aware, they’re struggling real bad this week - something like 29 out.

A grade squad yesterday was only at 18 - didn’t even have a bench.. and that 18 included a kid who is still only 16 and was playing C grade last season.

3x concussions from last week, 2x interstate holiday, 4x FIFO workers, 1x car accident during the week, couple working, handful with covid and approaching a dozen with season ending injuries.

As of Thursday the B grade had 8 - and 6 of them were 1st 18 kids from the school.

Club probably could’ve scrapped towards 14 and put a side out but when most of the squad are 16/17 year old kids out of school who don’t play club footy it’s probably not the smartest move.
