Same, even the hawks game is on in the background whilst doing other sh!t around the house. Just doesnt have the allure it once had with me.

For some of us I think that comes with age...
I would've only missed a handful of Centrals games from 1993 (when I was ten) to 2016 (when we moved to Clare).
These days I watch the centrals games through digital pass but like you im hardly glued to the footage. Generally have it on whilst doing jobs around the home.
The days of riding every bump and kick are long gone for me, I wonder if its acclimatisation to watching so many games on tv rather than being at them. I'm sure if I was at the ground the 'passion' would come rushing back, I just don't feel as emotionally invested when watching from home.

You know the type of stuff, a camera catches a player laughing whist on the bench so all of sudden he doesn't give a crap about the club, team or game and that the coach didn't have them switched on etc etc.
Even stats like metres gained are pretty pointless in modern football yet get analysed with a fine comb.

But do you go down the fat side or open up the thin side, FFS get the ball and kick it through the goals

Every week the commentators "marvel" how sides are looking to take risks and come back through the corridor.. no shit, it's been the same for forever and a day, it's not reinventing the wheel here FFS.

True, I think there is more of it now with the "stand rule" where you are actually standing the mark properly and not being able to cut off the angle forcing the kick down the line.
