RB wrote:They appear to have been pretty strict this season. I'm fairly sure I've seen folks told to head to another gate. Haven't tried it myself.

Also be prepared for it to take a ridiculously long time to get in. Checking vaccine certs, QR codes, tickets, making sure you don't have a piece of metal up your clacker etc. shouldn't be that difficult, but the people doing this don't seem to understand the concept of speed or efficiency this season. Some of the punters appear not to be in much of a hurry as well.

Personally, when I arrive at the ground 30 minutes prior to the match, I expect to be able to be in my seat at kick-off - but maybe that's just me.

Thanks for the he info, I'll take the metal out of my clacker and sneak in through the staff entrance then.
Only 2 other seats had been sold in the away bay when I got mine so I shouldn't have to worry about crowds too much. ;)

We need to tell Scomo to just keep his mouth shut, I liken him to a 12th man issuing threats to the opposition.

No comments from an Australian prime minister are ever going to influence whether China attempts to invade Taiwan.

I quoted the wrong comment, I was more alluding to his view on the Russian crisis, he always just has words purge out of his mouth because he feels that he needs to say something, he should be leaving this one to the big boys.

On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd prefer Albanese either, he sounds permanently drunk.

Is the world better off with the hair sniffing freak Biden running the US or would've Trump been better in this situation? He probably would've nuked the Kremlin by now.

One of China's biggest partners is Ukraine so highly doubt they'd side with Russia.
They'll remain non-committal.

When you hear or say the word 'extraordinary' do you hear/say two words or one, 'extra-ordinary' or 'extrordinary'?

P.S. that red wine is good stuff Jimmy ;)

We don't have a big population, but our economy is pretty big, about the same size as Russia. There is some weight behind what he says.

Extraordinary means: out of the ordinary - unusual, uncommon, exceptional.
Whereas, Extra ordinary means: very common, usual, fixed, prevailing.
Hence these two words 'Extraordinary and ordinary are naturally opposite to each other.

This probably wont make sense, and make me seem an arsehole (moreso), but why do countries / national leaders etc. feel the need to come out and comment on things such as the Russia / Ukraine situation?

For instance: "Joe Biden addresses the Russian invasion of Ukraine saying, ‘Putin and his country will bear the consequences.’ "

Or Scott Morrison having a press conference at the moment about it.

Why? Why comment to people of the countries not involved? What value does it all? What purpose does it serve?

Genuine questions, i'm confused.. it's sad the situation in the Ukraine for sure, but i'm not interested in my Prime Minister putting on his big boy pants and talking game about it.

We might become involved,
Putin wants his land back, he's left himself wide open to attack since NATO came in, he has no natural protection from the countries to the west of Russia, it's just a big flat wasteland & he's scared that the western countries, under NATO, might try to advance upon "his" land.
I reckon the world will let him take over the Ukraine BUT if he keeps heading west, then the schnitzel will hit ze fanski.
