Yeah, he mentioned how good the set up at the Lakes is, he puts up decent bottle for the Caulfield Guineas Day each year that we try to win for bragging rights, we're heading to the V this Saturday for it, now that place is the Taj Mahal for punting.

and he was pretty pumped Saturday, despite missing the start it was a great run to finish 2nd and there's a lot to like about the horse, Coolangatta is going to be one of those horses we'll be talking about for a long time IMO.

What is this "V" you speak about?
The problem with the lakes is the screen is toooo big, sit too close and you need to shift focus all the time, sit further back and you cant see the bottom due to the people sitting closer.

The Virginia Hotel that got burnt down was rebuilt with a massive betting auditorium along with an all day menu.

First time I went there I went to buy a beer and the dude asked if I was a member, he gave me my beer and a membership form and told me he'll charge me for my beer when I return the form as there's a decent discount, great meals too and more discount to members, membership is free.

The Lakes is probably one venue that’s improved with Covid measures, just due to having less pinheads standing in front of the screen, but you’re right unless you score one of the high tables the big screen doesn’t necessarily work.

Not saying the horse can't but yet to race at the distance and will now carry 57kg. Only one horse has done the Cups double with a weight above 57kg (Rising Fast carried 59.5kg in 1954!).

That said, he has shortened in betting from $2.50 to $2.30.

Maybe it says more about the opposition than it does Incentivise. BTW, I think it's a monty to win the Melbourne cup after what I saw.
