This weekend, heading to town tomorrow for the prelim final and staying down at the Intercontinental for the night. Hopefully get to go out after and celebrate or commiserate but either way should be out rocking on after. See you tomorrow night

Last weekend of local footy so going to make the most of it, son's GF tomorrow morning then down to Yankaillia in the arvo to see a mate coach the Ressies and watch the GSFL A grade, then back to town for the Bays Sat night, early wake up and a trip to Waikerie for some junior coaching on Sunday.

Usually by now Im exhausted and looking for a break but this year its hit home that its all done for another 6 months :(

Nothing wrong with a knock off beer on a Friday. Having to be first one at 2.30, may be an issue though…

Okay if you have a knock off beer that celebrates knocking off your first beer of the day.

Today is officially my first day in my new role, it's been a long time in the making and it's been hard keeping it to myself, especially when a couple of my now sub-ordinates have ripped into me recently about petty shit.

The announcement blew people out of the water as two and a half departments merged into one and I went from being just a nom in one of them to now managing the new larger one, a couple of colleagues were demoted in the move but they have been fully supportive of me and have been excellent in the transition.

It's going to be very challenging and we have some huge roadblocks ahead of us for the interim, we're basically going to be one to two people short right through til February given the pre-approved leave that is already in.
