Proposal was emailed to the exec to review at their meeting for 6x team divs last month - rejected.

Despite the apparent support at the AGM, there isn't appetite from the big clubs for it.

We going to Suburban

You comp slut  ;)

Just go big :) :)

2 x 14 team comps.

Play each team once, luck of the draw if you play them in a two dayer or one dayer. If your good enough you will win.

Go 7x teams in Grade 1 and Grade 2, and play a cross-over bye.. could perhaps drop one out of Grade 3 to Grade 4 and play 7 in each as well with a cross-over bye.

Everyone wins.. everyone happy.

That is absolute poo stink, Smithfield always draw Salisbury West with this format.

Please find attached the “New” Playing Dates and Format for “Seniors” for this season as proposed at last night’s Executive Committee Meeting.
Due to “Nominations” received up until last night the following was proposed and agreed to:
Each Grade will have 6 Teams
Grades 1 - 5 10 x 2 Day Games
Grades 6 – 11 20 x 1 Day Games

Does that mean no more one dayers in grades 1-5.

Very interesting. I love my two dayers but cant but feel no one dayers whatsoever may see a fair few lads choose to play in the lower grades. Really bucking the trend across the state of moving towards more short version games.

I like it but very ballsy.

I'm that injury prone I would find a way to slice a finger on a bowling ball no doubt.

A stronger case for the "But I only wanna play one-dayers because I have my kids every fortnight or I work every 2nd weekend"

They end up winning the C grade batting and play every week.

The truth generally came out in round 5 when the higher grades started their one-dayers "but I'm sitting 2nd in the association runs"

Meh, I'm too old and too impatient for that now, I'd just score too many runs and my beer would go warm.

Reckon i'm the only one happy at the club - our B grade are filthy about 6 team divs

On paper, the top 3 grades look so much more even and balanced though (assuming they get the grading correct).
