Also, as a small moment of indulgence, huge from the PNU reserves to make their first finals since the return to D1. Good combination of Old hands and young lads for those fellows

If you have to be split between two venues Thebarton and Richmond is probably as good option as you'll get!

jo172 - I take it you are aware that things have changed and that our B grades are headed to the serene ambience of University Oval for an 11am match.

PNU squashed Goodwood in the second half.

Shitty largely cross ground winds that made it a poor spectacle..

Win a win, and haven't had two men's grades in a GF since 2014

Good win in the end. Goodwood looked the better side in the first half. Payneham were lucky not to be more than 14 points down, but they certainly turned up the heat in the second half and the Saints couldn't handle it. Will be hard to beat the red machine, but you've got to be in it to win it.

Also didn't get there, but from all reports the reserves final was one for the ages.

Goal after the final siren from 50 metres to force extra time, winning point fisted over the line with 9 of the 10 minutes of extra time played.

Young lads were understandably rapt

All the more so when the after siren goal was scored by PNU legend Fred Campbell's lad. Nice story a side with a Campbell, Altamore and Wagner all following their old men's footsteps

Note the classic case of the retaliator being caught at 44:10

One would assume 30 might not be available for the first few rounds next year.

Realise I'm talking to myself largely, but Saturday marks Nick Jolly's 8th A Grade Grand Final (4th in D1)

Curious to know where that sits league wide

Why isn't Thebarton Oval hosting any Grand finals this year? Unavailable due to a specific reason?

They don’t have a COVID plan so can’t host GF. Why they used Norwood Oval last year for Div 1 and 2 GF’s. The SANFL Reserves finals this Saturday are being played at Thebarton I think.
