I thought his previous run at MB, on a preferred surface condition was full of merit, his win on Sat didn’t surprise me at all, grata again mate.

I chucked my syndicate bet on the snoz of Manhattan Times at $40’s so was pretty popular by Sat arvo.

Cheers mate, I just like to wave my walking stick about in a display of fury.

It had been a somewhat wasted prep again, here's this horse prancing about on the Mornington Peninsula loving life and racing well on the luscious Flemington and Caulfield tracks and next minute he is running at Murray Bridge in a 1200, surely the horse is asking himself WTF have I done wrong to end up here?

There's some simple maths:
He doesn't like the rock hard track.
He doesn't like the heavy track.
He loves the 1400m.
He doesn't like a rails run.
He likes to sit behind the lead group until the turn.

It's bloody frustrating when someone as uneducated as me can read it all.

Sorry, te: the previous run I meant to say non-preferred. I’m not sure if it’s because I follow him with interest or get your thoughts on him, but everything you’ve said there seems clear cut obvious I’d think to anyone who follows him, staggering that those who should know don’t seem to.

I knew what you meant mate.

When I say "the other week" that covers from yesterday to 8 months ago.

Trying to claim 2kg's with an apprentice jockey staggers me also, I think it matters SFA unless it's over 2000 metres, the average racehorse I'd imagine would weigh in at around 550kg's, they carry approximately 55-60kg's for their race (10-11%).

I think if I ran a lap with a 8.5kg backpack on I wouldn't run it much quicker than if I had a 9kg backpack on.

Just my dumb down on it.

I found the same when I owned some horses, staggered how the trainers don't seem to do their homework, just nominate them and cross their fingers.

I told our trainer once that it is clear our horse didn't like being crowded and on the inside of horses, it never used to stride out, so when drawn the inside it needed to go to the lead and not take a sit, never listened and it continued to happen  he actually performed better when 3-4 wide in space, incredibly frustrating
