Exactly, if those finals had gone the other way this wouldn't be a talking point. Don't be surprised if there's an influx of NSW and Vic Premier cricketers jumping the border if their comps don't start. Fair chance that will be the case for NSW. If that was to happen, I'd expect the competition to be stronger this season[/quote]
This from my point of view is completely incorrect. The issue with 13 teams is all about the standard of grade cricket in SA - has it improved in the last 5 years, No! Are we closer to producing a batter who is good enough to play first-class cricket through the grade system, No!
This whole argument for the Grade setup being wrong doesn't live or die by the Redback's failures or successes, it is needed due to continued decline in grade standard and its ability to assist in the production of first-class cricketers.
