Conspiracy theories aside, can someone respond to this part of the post.

I'm pro vaccines in general, but I'm not sold on getting the covid vaccine yet.

From what I can tell, given you can still catch and pass on covid, there doesn't appear to be a benefit to society overall of getting the vaccine.
(other than perhaps the argument that I am less likely to take up a hospital bed as I'm less likely to get seriously ill).

You are much less likely to catch covid after getting vaccinated.

Not 100% less likely, but 80 or 90 percent less likely (last time i looked at the data)

That important fact has been glossed over by the anti vaccers. No vaccine for anything in the world gives 100% guarantee that you wont catch whatever its targeted at. They just give a massive boost to your chances of not getting it.

They also usually give you a better chance of fighting it off. Less time you have it (if you do still manage to catch it) less time for you to spread it around.

Will crowds be allowed at SANFL games? I've already purchased 3 tickets to the Presidents Group lunch this week. :(

I just don't understand the logics?

Yes I am glad that community football is back on but kids have to wear masks to school and you can't sing or dance?

One would've thought the 10,000+ people tackling each other, sweating and spitting on the ground may cause more spreading of this highly contagious disease than someone bleating out some ballads, I'm sure teams will still sing their song post game too.

Watching the Port v GWS game last night, couldn't help but think how funny it was when they showed Leon Cameron talking at the quarter time break - mask down, side was close group nice and tight listening.. can do that, but when they win the game they all put masks on and stand apart

You are right Booney initially those stats you provideded were correct for Covid 19 in 2020.

However with the Delta variant the dynamics have now changed.

USA England and Israel are now seeing surges of infections in the Delta virus .

In israel with 90 % of the population fully vaccinated there has been a surge in cases of Delta leading to hospitalisation which of course is expected.

This is an very interesting article plus more and more reports are coming from other said countries.

The way this is going we will all be in perpetual lockdown for eternity.

Pfizer’s COVID-19 Shot May Not Be as Effective Against Delta Variant as First Assumed
According to the Health Ministry’s director general Dr. Chezy Levy, between 40 to 50 percent of the new coronavirus infections are in people who have been vaccinated for COVID-19. Approximately 70 percent of the COVID-19 cases have been caused by the Delta variant. “Even though the numbers are low, the fact that this is reaching vaccinated people means that we are still checking how many vaccinated people have also been infected,” Dr. Levy said.1 3

So you don't jump of the cross trainer to watch the 2nd half? I'm sure a pint would fit nicely in the Pringles holder.
