Maybe though his departure will be a blessing in a sense that it forces them to find other avenues and creates more emphasis on a range of players scoring.

They continually find non-scoring tall forwards, is it supply or talent? I don't The Zeppelin is the answer moving forward, he's in his 4th season and scores at less that a goal a game, Tom Lynch must be in his last season, The Fog has the potential but has only delivered once and struggles to get on the park and Thilthorpe burst on to the scene but has found the going a bit tougher since.

Do they eye off an established proven forward and throw the kitchen sink at him or are there other holes that need filling first?

Unlike most Power supporters, I'd like to see the Crows go well and it's great to see ROB respond to my criticism a few weeks ago by finding some of that 2020 form.

They would definitely have to think about their midfield and the potential start power they have or don't have there. Laird is a star, Sloane isn't getting any younger and then there is a bunch of young blokes who could be hits or misses.

I mean look at teams that are missing finals like Carlton, Essendon, Fremantle who have a couple of superstar midfielders thinking (Cripps & Walsh), (Merrett & Parish), (Fyfe & Brayshaw).

Genuine question for the Crows but is there a position line in the team that you believe is set in stone and one that can get take the Crows into top 8 maybe even top 4.

For mine there doesn't really seem to be, maybe (O'Brien, Sloane, Laird, Keays) but there seems to be gaps on each line that are going to need replacing before they come a genuinely good side again. If i compare that to say Carlton i look at them and think well their backline actually is pretty decent, they have 2 gun superstar midfields, its really just a functioning forward line and midfield depth that could see them rise up the table. If Carlton werent Carlton you would think they were an easier fix than the Crows being my point.

Deserves it but it would be interestingly too see what a Crows forward line looks like when they don't have 25% of their eggs in the one basket.

Two parts.

Obviously his form this year demands another deal, his form last year wouldn't have but he's been by far and away Adelaide's best option forward of centre this year.

The second part must be of greater concern, if Frampton or Himmelberg had joined Thilthorpe in taking a position and making it their own I doubt Walker would have got another deal. Granted, Thilthorpe is high end talent compared to the other two but he's got his opportunity and taken it with both hands. The fact Frampton and Himmelberg both continue to have no impact at AFL level means Walker might go around again in 2023.

Meanwhile they've dropped Fogarty and McAdam, have they finally worked them out?

I’d take Fogarty in a heartbeat. I’ve said for ages now, they’re playing him in the wrong position.
Plus it helps if you have a coach who’ll show some faith in you like others (more senior) have been shown.

Fogarty is an interesting subject.
Adelaide certainly have tried to develop him into a consistent power forward. So where do you play him?

I think he could be anything, but Adelaide can't seem to turn him on.
Maybe another club will get the best out of him.

I'd let Talia go, keep Lynch for another year (can contribute and has excellent leadership/coaching), not sure on Crouch - with their weak mids do you keep him while this area develops?

All are RFA's at season's end.

Can they get anything for Crouch, no one will touch the other two unless they are a mature aged rookie as a back up, Talia and his cat may have some chance there but Ginga Lynch will be working on his media career at a guess.

Remind me again, if say Talia and Crouch were taken by other clubs through FA, what do the Crows get out of that? (other than wages off the book)

Draft picks. Crouch might get them a second rounder but the others don’t have any value

Talia and Lynch are Unrestricted Free Agents, they walk for nothing.

Crouch is a Restricted Free Agent, if he leaves Adelaide can either choose to match the offer, if they don't their compensation is based on his age, length of deal and the money he's been offered to move.
