Tried Wed/Thurs for a bit too but couldn't back up to train two nights in a row, struggled to get around on the the Thursday.
Still think Tues main session with Thurs short, sharp session is the right balance, people are also much more likely to hang around for a meal then a few drinks a bit later on with only one day of work to get through (as mentioned earlier). Doesn't mean the discussion isn't valid however.

I found as I got older and the colder months set in I seemed to require treatment on most Tuesday nights, it coincided with Nan, Pop, the MIL, mum, the missus and all her rellies seemed to have their birthdays land on a Tuesday and our presence was always required as we were going out for dinner, then on other nights work seemed to be in high demand and they'd throw overtime at me on Tuesday's, it was also the day most likely that the 24 hour flu set in.

You would have thought the league would have assigned some good umpires for the game in which the 2 assigned were disgusting would not have been able to run away from there own shadow. A big thank to the CU boy for coming in for a drink and a feed.

What a fantastic viewing ground for footy - very picturesque.
Secondly - not one speck of mud! Amazing to see how good a condition it is in.
Lastly - hows the size of the construction at Southern end - thats a proper re development.
Well done to all at MPFC - bloody impressive.

Was a hard contest that was not officiated well like you said. I think whoever can get their best side on the park when it counts in September will start favourite as there is not much between the 2 sides. I think Paul Merritt has to be the best player in this grade, how old is he Chief?

Yeah I know all teams put in hours of commitments etc, but they have been down the bottom for so long, one of the worst a grade sides in the entire SAAFL for a period.
They get back to the top and have a real premiership crack for the season to be potentially de-railed.
If we are back playing for in two weekends time it would be a bloody miracle. Personally the first step will be back to level 4 restrictions which dont allow for community sport.

Dont necessarily agree, the whole idea of short hard lockdowns are to get on top if it early and hopefully be able to return to pre-lockdown conditions much more quickly. Will all be dependent on how many cases and sites they uncover over the coming days but going hard and fast usually means we get back to business quicker.

well run clubs pull the pin while others let the problem fester and do more damage
