Bays in the box seat for the flag, staved off their biggest threat in a tough match. Will be hard to toss* from here.

If we're having a serious discussion about premiership chokes, then Sturt 1978 has to be at the top of the list.

Weird comment. What's not to like about him? Probably should be getting a lot more free kicks than he does, I agree ;) but apart from that he just keeps working hard for us. He's a great mark and kick for goal, very mobile for a big man.

I thought We really started going when we started to get up and over Redden in the ruck.

2nd and 3rd qtr it looked like we trying to body him and it wasn’t working.

Late in 3rd Pink started to run and get up and over him and we got some crucial clearances

Not sure if that is reflective of Redden’s physical characteristics but in the last qtr we sure got first use of the footy.

Hannath and Pinky did it in the last and we dominated the clearances I thought
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Robbed by the goal posts, more like. The flippin' things wouldn't stay still for 'em. #-o

I'm not sure what the issue is with McBean. I love watching him play, one of my fav players outside of my club. Would have him at North in a heartbeat.

Excellent game. Similar to the same fixture in 2019 when Glenelg kicked away in the last few minutes. Lively crowd on Sunday, and the audience participation award probably goes to the Bay bloke to the right of the Percy Fox Stand who grabbed the match ball from an out of bounds on the full call against the Tigers and refused to return it, for what seemed like an age, until the Glenelg defensive lines (all 18 of them) were intact. Not much the umps could do!

The Eagles are still circling, we don’t want to count our chickens with the C0cks about and Norwood claims are growing legs..

I'm sure they contemplated awarding the Eagles something.

No love for the Panthers? You reckon their flag aspirations have already headed South?

So is this another "19th man incident" that stopped the Eagles rush to victory" ? Time wasting!!! Where is that retired judge to hold an inquiry ? (again)

Actually, all joking aside, and I don't personally know what happened, but these once-in-a-blue-moon type of things could have serious outcomes.

This game aside, what happens if there is 60 secs to go, scores level, one side is in attack, and the supporter(s) of the other side deliberately hold up the game by interfering with the return of the ball ? Is time on called when the ball goes over the fence?

I am in total agreement with that summation.
My only complaint with McBean is that he shouldn't be playing in the SANFL. There are many, many inferior footballers in the AFL system.
North chased him when he first was delisted by Richmond, I wish that we had got him.

The year he took off to travel OS was the best thing he ever did. Came back in such a better frame of mind & his footy since has reflected that.
