What an absolute train wreck this presser is....

Proud and historic by hiding every sponsor logo and having plain grey curtains as a backdrop...

Wouldn’t be surprised if some of the sponsors jump off them to be honest.

I reckon that would have gone through to the keeper, media won't have the balls to push on with it....and then......that happened.

Well well, have a decent crack blokes, we had it coming apparently.
What else can the President say ffs!

If its been proven that we were/are racist, then EVERY club would have skeletons.
Ed's right, its pretty ballsy to put the biggest club in Australia through the wringer by initiating the report.

Again I wouldn't be throwing too many rocks lads.

I would hope if my club was guilty of an independent finding such as this, it wouldn’t mark it as one the club’s proudest days, deflect attention away from decades of racism & turn it into one of the biggest naval gazing, circle jerk spin-fests we’ve seen in a long time.
Your president could’ve owned the problem, copped it fair on the chin and then addressed how you would move on.
He didn’t “not read the room” like many have said. He chose not to.
And that’s the shame of it all.

What a crock of sanctimonious bullshit that comment is.
I haven't seen the presser so can't comment on that part but what more can he do.
A bloke made a complaint so the board decided to do something about it.
The start of a process to address the issue and put things in place so it can't happen again.
Ed's in damage control so of course he's going to put spin on it.

It doesnt matter what the president said, its what action him and the board take from now on.

I don't understand Collingwood's approach. Surely you acknowledge the failings outlined in the report and put forward an unconditional apology to those who have been affected. Then you can talk about implementing all 18 recommendatiins from the report. Nothing to be proud of until those 18 recommendations are all completed and systemic racism eliminated.

You didn’t bother to watch the presser before commenting, really?
You’ll find that Lumumba declined to be part of the review. Made no comment at all. If you think this review is on the back of “one bloke making a complaint” then you’re more delusional than I thought.
There are numerous ex players (do some research) who have had grievances with club re racism in the past.
The start of the process, I would’ve thought, would be to admit decades of systemic failures, apologise for these failures and then give us your plan moving forward. Don’t turn this into “you all hate Eddie/Collingwood” circus. This is serious shit, no one wants to know about damage control & spin.

The president didn't have any nurries at all. Has a history of racist comments in the media yet refusing to go immediately when the report is so damming towards the club.
