1/ All the commentators are painful to listen to at times
2/ Million to one that Head will come back for the 4th Test - It would make the selectors look like fools if they did not that they ain't fools already
3/ The Sub rule esp the keeper is a joke ! FFS Make do with what ya got. It 's worked for over 100 years . Sub fielders are fine but that where it ends . Down the track cricket will be like footy and theyll have squads of 16 for cricket with interchanges at will over the course of the match
4/ Why would ya declare whilst theres still enough overs to make the runs? Yes they have enough but unless the weather is dodgy theres no point.
5/ Paine is a wanker - A fairly typical trait among Australias captains. Have another whinge Tim ya Tosser . Should be banned for his umpire abuse

Poor Bumrah can't take a trick! If only his team mates help him out and catch the opportunities he sets up!
Smith out LBW looked plumb live, I was surprised that Reiffel said not out initially. 60 run partnership between him and Green was handy, lead of 340 now as the Aussies are building nicely.

Does anyone else see Green moving up to 5 and playing that ‘Steve Waugh’ type role of playing a grinding innings complementing the number 3 & 4 stroke makers.

I think he needs that bit of extra time and if he gets stranded with the tail doesn’t have that fire power/hitting circle.

Nice camera direction from Channel 7.

Batsmen take a run; unsure whether ball came off bat or body.

Umpire is in shot for several seconds as we await to see whether he signals a leg bye.

Cut to a shot not featuring the umpire or anything relevant.

Commentator: Yep, the umpire's signalled a leg bye.

Thanks for that, be nice if you could have shown it. Have the folks in the van not seen a cricket match before?

You've gone from questioning Greens strengths to suggesting he could possibly be moved up the order, a change in opinion on him whufc?

All kind of the same theory, I think he has a great technique and mentally very strong. I think his strength is that he can ‘grind’ an innings and wear bowlers down rather than being a stroke maker hitting 360 degrees. I think the strengths he does have (which are very suited to test cricket) are also better suited to batting at 5 where he will get the opportunity to be patient for longer with recognised batters, less run rate pressure as well.

If he constantly gets to 20 and then has to bat with Cummings, Starc etc I don’t think we will see the best of him. Let him bat at 5, let him be patient and build an innings.

And just like that, Saha equals the record for most catches by a substitute in a test match - 4 - joining Gursharan Singh, Younis Khan, Virender Sehwag and Jackson Bird. Only Younis and Saha did it in a single innings.

https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/conte ... 83627.html

Edit: it appears Saha's currently on 92 test catches. These 4 catches won't be added to that total though.

WADE: Im all for Matthew being attacking , but that shot was
GREEN : lbw- play sum shots - please
PAINE : Bowled, good ball
CUMMINS : ordinary defence
STARC : tried to hit a 12, thats the best way for him to bat, well batted

Good on Mitchell Starc today, showed the way 24 off 30
He came n after GREEN/PAINE/CUMMINS faced 44 balls for 1 run- and gave the Indians the initiative
