US election pundits appear to be calling both run-offs for the Democrats.

Good news for US action on climate change (action which will isolate Australia if we don't meaningfully shift our position).
Will have to wait and see I guess.
No doubt a few filibusters will occur in the Senate to try and block any major legislations

Wait, what? Now you're saying Trump 'could very well be' president-elect? You were supremely confident before that Biden would concede/Trump would be declared the winner. Now you think that there's merely a chance Trump might be president again?

November:

December:

Trump will be declareed the winner.

Looking forward to all the sooking on here

daysofourlives wrote:All i will say on the matter is we havent heard the end of it just yet.
My money still on Biden to concede or on January 6th when the Senate actually counts the Electoral votes there will be a big surprise.
Pay particular attention to the section Joint Session Challenges to Electoral Vote returns, Trump has the numbers in this case

It should also noted that a hypothetical Biden concession would be meaningless; he has been elected (306 EC votes to 232) and Trump's term expires at noon on 20 January; nothing Biden does or says could make Trump president beyond 20 January.

Should Biden, hypothetically, not be willing to take on the job, the VP-elect (Harris) would be sworn in, or if she were also unwilling, it would be the House Speaker (Pelosi).
I can see how Daisy has gotten to the point hes at, I think I posted something awhile ago talking about Trump and his Republicans could use the senate and the courts to still get power.

However it doesn't look like the Senate in general will reject the voted from the Electoral Colleges. If they did and Pence sends them back as such the Republican majority into he senate would vote and obviously vote Trump.

I don't think Pence sent this way, just not enough victories into the Courts to support the rejection of votes.

If BLM protests had stormed the US Capitol they'd have been shot. White supremacists do it and they're taking selfies with police  Sums up America

They were allowed to simply walk in, no resistance from the police. Trump coordinated the rally and attack to prevent the transfer of power. It's 100% a coup.

The infiltration of white supremacism in US law enforcement has been well documented, so no surprise they were let in, when on a normal day at the US Capitol you'd be stopped if you were carrying a can of deodorant.

It’s bizarre how the wheel has turned. For so long the Democrats were the white supremacy party and now it’s gone full circle

That particular image makes it look like the Capitol - the American people's representative forum for governing - is about to be placed into the hangman's noose. A sadly appropriate metaphor for today's events.

93% of BLM protests were actually peaceful despite some MSM outlets portraying them as otherwise. Where there was violence it was generally instigated by law enforcement.
