There was a noise but it wasn’t ball hitting bat

Surely that enough doubt to stick with umpires decision

Fair to say that India has outplayed us for all but two hours of madness in 6 days of Test cricket.
And for the first time in history, they are mentally tougher and more disciplined than we are.
JL is being outcoached.

Why does snicko over weight hot spot

If hot spot has nothing but snicko has a noise why is it given? Especially given there can be multiple reasons for noise but only one reason for hot spot

This is nearly as embarrassing as India's 2nd dig in Adelaide

Funny few days ago media and others all over it for a whitewash win in the series for Australia

They always do that and it makes no sense to me. What is the point in hot spot then?

Yep the noise was clearly after the ball left the bat, most likely the foot dragging on the ground

I think the one upside for Australia is that they can play a lot better than they are currently. India, not so much.

Cummins needs to play some shots and get some quick runs.
Don’t wait for Starc to come in and do it.

Not so sure about that.
Burns and Head are shot, Smith and Marnus coming back to the field, Wade is a battler and Green is.......... well Green.

I’ve only seen Green in test cricket but what actual weapons does he possess to score runs.

How has he scored all his runs at shield level

Haven't analysed the stats and they might prove me wrong, but I reckon he starts off a lot of his innings at a pretty steady rate in general. Quicker than this, but not run-a-ball stuff.

Also, Ponting just gave some stats showing last series Australia scored at this rate, 2.6-ish too.

How can you reverse a decision conclusively if you don't have two red lights? It is inconsistent with the "umpires call" of LBW's, which I think works well.
Channel 7 had Simon Taufel on talking about redundancies and I didn't fully understand what he was saying, but it sounded like convoluted crap making it harder than it needs to be.

He was pretty impressive when he made a hundred for Australia A against pretty much the same attack he is facing today. Played shots off front and back feet and both sides of the wicket. Used his feet well to Ashwin. I know the Indians were probably going through the motions somewhat, but he looked pretty good. India at Test level is a massive step up. I'm sure if he plays against weaker attacks on flatter wickets you'll see a full array of shots. Give him time.
