Collingwood were found to have broken the salary cap. Due to the pies not actually winning anything and the AFL not wanting to deal with a salary cap scandal tell Collingwood to have a total cleanout immediately. AFL then sweep it under the rug and its a win/win for both the AFL/Collingwood.

No other possible explanation makes sense for Collingwoods trade week.

I’d love to know the real story around Treloar.
Gotta be more to it than what’s been mentioned in the media.

Collingwood list manager thrown the wife under the bus completely. They only considered the possibility of a trade once she had decided to play netball in Queensland.

You'll end up with a couple of them as they hunt pick 2 from you.

Give them 2 for 10 and 13 and you'd have 10,11,13,30. Looks better than 2,11,30.

The AFL integrity unit sign off on all trades.

They got wind of Adelaide/St Kilda playing around with Luke Dunstan and his salary with Crouch and the compensation pick deal and told the Crows/Sts no way it will happen. How then do Collingwood effectively trade Treloar for a future 2nd rounder and Phillips for 65?

Nathan Buckley on Twitter.

My toughest day in footy....bar none.

Managing contracted players who love the environment out of the club is a lose/lose situation in the short term.

The decisions aren’t popular but they were necessary.

I wish Adam, Jaidyn, Tom and Atu all the best at their new clubs.

I thought Adelaide's 5/10 was a tad inflated given the players they lost and gained no one, North's (7), Brisbane's (7.5) and Geelong's (8) also seemed inflated.

I thought the Saints performed better than the Dogs but the poll shows otherwise.

Carlton and Port can sit at the bar for a bit longer on draft day as neither feature for some time.

Yeah, I would have had Essendon above Adelaide

We are definitely looking at trading up to pick 1 or 2. I’d imagine a combination of 6,7,8 in some way might get the Crows or North slightly interested

Adelaides was neither good or bad. Only two things they did was remove two players they didn’t want

Adelaide will want Tilthorpe 100%. Adelaide boy, 200cm, 99kg forward / ruck. Exactly what they need to develop as back up for O'Brien and a replacement for Walker and, lol, Frampton.

I think Tilthorpe being a SA boy will make the Crows reach for him as I think he is around the pick 5/6 mark.

We want one of McDonald or Tilthorpe. No chance he gets past us.
I don’t see McDonald getting past 2 IMO

No chance the Roos give up Pick 2, never ever had a pick this low, a risk not worth taking.
