Anyone else heard Dirk Nannes comments on the ABC. He said that Marsh had looked assured and it was a surprise to see him dismissed.

What about the dropped chance that a parklands keeper would have taken. Then there was the inside edge that almost bowled him.

Sure he played a few good shots in his 45 but I always thought he looked a bit dicey.

That Bumrah delivery was as perfect a cherry as you'd see. Tim Paine starting to look like Xaviera Hollander/Andrew Hilditch - the happy hooker.

6/277, pretty good day for the Aussies and valuable partnership between Paine and Cummins. Definitely looks like there's a bit in this wicket, Bumrah was bowler some rippers.

Having seen a bit of Aaron Finch in interviews and most recently on 360 tonight I have no doubt he's dedicated to making the most of his opportunities and he's a genuine bloke. Unfortunately he's just not up to it at this level. If some players with the talent had his attitude and honesty they'd be better players at this level.

Good days cricket thing that stood out the most was again 4 shit shoots to get out Harris unlucky finch stone cold plumb other 4 were ordinary
Cummins looked like he was licking his chops to get a bowl on this deck and can't wait for goat to have a bowl on this pitch no ashwin could be the difference .

Head's was the worst dismissal followed by Khawaja. Looking forward to seeing how our bowlers go on this pitch.

Spot on, he's a really honest and genuine bloke, a good guy to have the team but yeah not really a test match batsman, we'll take his half century and century stand with Harris today though.

We are way to defensive and dont take the game on like we use to. Langer was ok in his role but he had Haydos at the other end. You only need one Langer in your team, at the moment we have 6 blokes being instructed to bat like him. Langer will take us backwards if thats even possible.

Yeh nah... Alfie is doing a bloody great job teaching guys raised as Bashers how to put a price on their wkt. To get guys like Finch and Head to put their head down against instincts for long enough so as to impact in a Test match is a fair effort. Making 275 on this wkt in 90 overs against a decent bowling attack is a credit to the coach and isnt slow by any stretch of the imagination. Not as quick as Test teams of the past but given the lesser talent of this group I dip me lid to the coach.

Looking at the bats individually... Harris and Head are taking their opportunties and are locking in their spots. Travis now needs to push on. Its a common occurence in ODI and Shield matches for him to get out after making starts.
Finch worked bloody hard and with a slice of luck. Still not convincing but have to give credit as hes learning on the job.
Khawaja is our best bat but isnt at ease in his mind.
Marsh played with confidence and was handy.
Handscomb doesnt belong here.

Pretty good contribution from Cummins again.

I reckon Starc might have a go at some fast runs here.
