So you're using cloth nappies for bubs?
It's been found that washing cloth nappies is worse for the environment than disposing the throw away nappies.
Disposable nappies create a bigger carbon footprint in the production process, the energy used to wash cloth brings the equation closer together, as does the environmental impact of the water used, detergents etc. Using renewable energy and environmentally friendly detergents to wash the cloth nappies would mean cloth is better for the environment.
The biggest difference is the CFC's the disposables give off when decomposing. They're bad.
I know this as I argued it with someone late one night and Google helped win me the argument.
PAFC. Forever.
