Financially we have an excellent deal but it handicaps us member wise. We are pretty much at peak membership for Etihad and the only way the club can get to 80k and beyond is by moving back to the MCG or at the very least altering our split between Etihad and the MCG.

your three games at Etihad this year have averaged 36653, which means the stadium is only 68% full.

And your home games against Hawthorn and Geelong have only got 53 and 50k as well.

Shows how little those overall membership numbers mean

The membership numbers mean heaps to the club as it’s a huge amount of revenue. I’d expect we are easily in the top 2-3 for income from memberships this year.
Would be nice if our members showed up to more games but I suppose once they are paid up they can do as they please.
With how rubbish we have played I’m amazed that we got that many to turn up. We have approximate 30,000 members with reserved seats and their areas are often the ones empty of which I’m guilty of. ( $2000 on memberships and we have only been 3 times so far and probably can only attend 1-2 more this season ).
Amazingly we still have a fair amount of our members who hate Etihad and won’t go there.
Personally I love the place but each to their own

agree with all of that.

ive said it numerous times before but I would love to see membership revenue compared between clubs rather than pure numbers, as they are just manipulated so much - and the crows are one of the big culprits given the stadium is always fully subscribed so they have to try and find additional membership streams

I’m not a fan of him but I will admit he has done a pretty good job.
At the very least he is decent enough depth

Well it’s been a pretty disappointing season on field again. Have played some decent footy in the second half of the season but our poor start has had us trying to make up too much ground in the back end of the season. Still haven’t addressed our midfield issues and that will be our number 1 priority in the offseason. I have no doubt we will use our first round pick plus more to try and attract a decent mid. Shiel and Gaff are two that we are into and still rumours we are into Beams but his age concerns me.
Off field the club is finally getting its act together and membership growth has been phenomenal $$ wise but our Etihad attendance rate by our members isn’t flash. Kia who have been our major sponsor have pulled the pin after 8 years with talk of them going to GWS but in the last couple of days rumours have grown that Amart have a sponsorship proposal that would smash the record for any sporting sponsorship in Australia

I heard from someone close to the Crows that they were going to have a crack at getting him at the end of this season, even though he still had a year to run on his contract. Very happy with the contract extension.

He’s one of those players where you don’t mind him being on the list as he performs decently when required, but if he’s best 22 every week it’s probably not great

Pretty happy with that. We have plenty of depth in his spot and Francis’ game on Friday night probably was the final nail. We reportedly offered him a reduced wage with no guarantee of game time but he wasn’t keen

I wonder how many of his team mates will be glad to see him go.
I'm not a fan of him bawling out blokes on field the way he does.
I didn't like it when heath shaw did it either. Not a good look IMO.
