Like I said if I was skip I would have no issue if a few inclose fielders wizz the ball past Lyon when his next running between the wickets, wouldn't be to dissapointed if one accidently wrapped him on the hand
The whizzing the ball around the ears happens all the time now.
i just think there is nothing in it. People tryingto get clicks will sensationlise it to the enth degree

It was just 100% pointless and against the spirit of cricket and not a celebration I want kids to think is acceptable

Time for a wicket
I think South Africa are home
5/215 Markram, great hundred dont look like getting him out, Decock has looked as comfortable as anyone throughout the test 54*

Maharaj gone
This is Starcs value to the team, late reverse swing with the old ball.
Id love one of the stats gurus to find his stats of his dismissals of 1-6 or 7 and 7-11. Obviously the average will be better against the tail but the percentage of wickets in each category would be telling compared to other bowlers
Rabada gone Starc on a hatrick, youd fancy it against Morkel

Disagree corona man, hes a super talented young player. Hes facing the best bowling line up in the world and doing a pretty good job.
He was very very scratchy early on. He got through that period and made a 100 I believe. Good luck to him.

Good fightback from the SFricans. No wickets to Lyon in this innings.
Like this DeKock, oozes all class with the bat, very handy number 7

But your cool with someone " accidentally" injuring Lyon's spinning hand. Glad you're not involved in our association

That video showed nothing, the one i saw the ball clearly lands on the ground next to him. Youre all as bad as the media trying to make something out of it that isnt there. Nothing to see move on. If we are going to start penalising that there will be no one left in world cricket
At the 50 second mark of the clip you see it land on AB straight from the hand of Lyon, I love Gaz but that was poor form and out of character, as for Warner, I wish I could hear what he was saying but then again the rest of the world would've too and judged us on our vice captain.

Deserves a fine IMO, pointless and not in the spirit of the game, the ball goes back to the ump.

Because there is no bigger f**k wit in world cricket than Warner.
Steve Smith will have something to say about that before his career is over
Sadly, I think you are correct.

No what I'm saying is I could understand if the Saffers decided to take matters in their own hands. I'm one of the easiest going blokes you will meet on a cricket field (never been suspended or reported in my life) but if you want to be king dickhead you have to expect someone else might take it a step further.
If the saffers did attempt something Lyon could sit there and cry foul

Re: Australian Tour of South Africa
Why do people complain about a bit of personality in the game? If everyone was as dull as Chris Tavare the game would be dead.
AB was the big wicket and to get him first ball was huge. I wouldn’t have cared if Warner and Lyon ripped their shirt off and ran a lap. Was a massive point of the game.

I'm happy with the celebration, hell some of my favorite memories have been celebrating scoring goals in soccer.
Running past AB with a big smile on your face absolutely fine, even telling him to piss off.....fine.
Dropping (I reckon it was just slightly more than a drop, arm momentum was pushing the ball down onto him) the ball on him........disgraceful, piss weak, dickhead behavior, the aussie rules equivalent of dropping a knee into the bloke when his at the bottom of a pack.
Lyon is so much better than that.

Dropping the ball gently alongside = a knee drop in a pack?
C'mon, mate.
It was cheeky, no doubt. Nothing more, nothing less.

Look at the footage closely and without rose coloured glasses, it was poor form as it was directly on to him.
